The mission of the LowCountry Master Naturalist Association is to provide graduates of the Master Naturalist Program an opportunity to continue to expand their understanding of the fundamentals of natural history, nature interpretation and the interface of humans and nature. Our intent is to provide opportunities for Association members to contribute their time and talents to responsible science based environmental stewardship in the LowCountry. In the achievement of this mission we will strive to provide a enjoyable experience for all involved and to create a local network of individuals who work synergistically together to complete local based nature projects. Key components of this mission are the continuation of the environmental learning process through coordinated field trips, outings with professional naturalists and volunteer opportunities.

Become a Master Naturalist!

To become a Master Naturalist, one must complete the 12-week training program at one of the six host sites around the state and complete 30 hours of volunteer service annually.

Members who had not paid their LCMNA dues for the past three years (2014, 2015 and 2016) were automatically removed from the LCMNA Member List on February 15, 2016 as we have been transitioning to a new data base.  You, of course, would be welcomed back if you decide to become a member again. This means you will no longer receive email updates and announcements from the LCMNA regarding meetings and field trips. If you wish to remain a member, you may visit and login to pay dues via PayPal or mail a check for $30 to LCMNA, 40 Mobley Oaks Ln. Okatie, SC 29909.

Thank you in advance.
